Many operators offer it and some do not, so confirm whether grinding is in your quote, whether the grindings are hauled away or used as backfill, and whether it happens on the same visit. Full root-system excavation is excavation or landscaping work rather than tree service.

Standard scope is that the crew removes the wood and debris the job generates, chips the brush, and rakes the immediate work area before leaving. If you want logs cut to firewood length or left on site, say so up front — it changes how the crew works and what they haul. Contact with service drops or primary conductors is dangerous, and in many areas clearance around utility-owned lines is the utility’s responsibility and performed by their contractors at no cost to you. Where private work near lines is necessary, it may require de-energization scheduled with the utility.
