Where automation is used
Two booking flows use automated analysis to produce a price estimate: junk removal and tree services. In both, you upload photos of the work and the platform analyzes them to estimate scope, then applies the published pricing configuration for your market to produce an estimate.
Dumpster rentals and porta potty rentals are priced from the configuration you select rather than from photo analysis. Automated analysis is not used to decide whether you may open an account, and it is not used to make credit or lending decisions.
What you provide
The junk removal and tree service flows ask for a small set of photos — at least two and no more than five — together with the details needed to price and schedule the work.
- Photos of the material, area or tree to be worked on.
- The service address, and the city and state used to find providers in your area.
- Access details, such as stairs and the number of floors involved, or how close equipment can get to the work.
- Your preferred date and time window.
- Any hazards or conditions you flag yourself.
Please avoid including people, documents, screens, license plates or anything else you would not want shared in the photos you upload. Photos are shown to our review team and to the provider matched to your job.
What the analysis produces
For junk removal, the analysis estimates the volume of material and the load size and material category that best fit it. For tree services, it estimates height, trunk diameter, how accessible the tree is, and whether recognizable hazards are present.
Those detections are matched to the pricing configuration for your service area, which produces an estimated total and a breakdown. The analysis also returns a confidence score for its own output.
An automated estimate is an estimate. It is not a binding quote, not a contract, and not a guarantee that a provider will accept the job at that price. Final pricing depends on the actual conditions on site.
When a person reviews the job
The platform routes a job to manual review by a member of our team instead of quoting it automatically when any of the following is true.
- The analysis returns low confidence in its own reading of the photos.
- The photos or answers indicate a hazard or condition that is configured to require review, such as difficult access or proximity to structures and utilities.
- The scope falls outside what the automated pricing configuration covers for your market.
A reviewer looks at the photos and details you submitted, sets a final price, and may add a note explaining it. Review requests move through pending, accepted and rejected states, and you can see the current state in your account.
You are not charged while a job is in review, and submitting a job for review does not commit you to booking it.
Your choices
You are never required to accept an automated estimate.
- You can decline a reviewed price and the request will not proceed.
- You can cancel a review request while it is open.
- You can ask for a person to look at your job rather than relying on the automated estimate, by contacting support.
- You can choose not to use the photo flows at all and contact us to arrange the work another way.
No automated decision on this platform is applied to you without a route to a person. Declining an estimate has no effect on your account.
Who sees your information
Job details and photos are shared with the independent provider matched to your job, so they can carry out the work, and with our own review and support teams.
Payment card details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor, and are not stored by BINS APP. Notification delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging. Address lookup uses Google Maps.
We do not sell personal information, and photos submitted for a quote are not used for advertising.
How long it is kept
Photos, detections, estimates and review outcomes are kept as part of the record of your request or order. Keeping them allows us to support the job, resolve disputes about scope or pricing, and meet accounting and legal obligations.
You can ask us to delete personal information associated with your account, including submitted photos, by contacting support. Some records may be retained where we are required to keep them or where they are needed to resolve an open dispute.
Accuracy and limitations
Automated analysis works from the photos you provide. Poor lighting, partial views, obstructed angles or material hidden from view will affect what it can estimate, which is why low-confidence readings are sent to a person instead.
BINS APP does not warrant that an automated estimate will match the final cost of the work, and an estimate does not modify the Customer Rental Agreement or the Terms of Use. Weight allowances, prohibited materials and overage charges are governed by the Customer Rental Agreement.
Changes to this policy
As the platform’s automated features change, this policy will be updated to describe them. Material changes to how automated analysis is used will be reflected here before they take effect.
