Founder & CEO, BINS APP
Bins App CEO John was personally present during the Colombia disaster-relief effort. He stood with volunteers on the ground, saw the needs of affected families firsthand, and helped support the community through Unidos por Colombia — packing supplies, lifting boxes, and showing up with compassion when it counted most. His presence reflected a simple belief: leadership means being there for people in their hardest moments, not only speaking about them from afar.
Disaster details
What happened in western Colombia.
On August 10, 2026, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia, with its strongest impact felt across the Chocó region and surrounding communities. In moments, families lost homes, roads were cut off, and daily life gave way to emergency shelters, damaged buildings, and piles of debris where neighborhoods once stood.
The human cost went far beyond the first day of shaking. People were displaced. Businesses closed. Clean water, food, and basic supplies became urgent needs. For many households, the hardest chapter began after the news cameras left — when demolition, debris removal, and rebuilding had to start with almost nothing left to work with.
That is why disaster relief mattered so deeply. Unidos por Colombia and partners organized to move water, essentials, and community support to people who could not wait. Every box packed and every volunteer who showed up helped families take one step from crisis toward recovery — and reminded them they were not facing the aftermath alone.

How BINS APP is helping
From donation drives to disaster logistics.
Our role is practical: show up for community collections, amplify Unidos por Colombia, and keep the same disaster-response pathways open for municipalities, NGOs and operators who need dumpsters, junk removal and cleanup capacity.
Unidos por Colombia drives
Team members and partners collected bottled water, boxed essentials and donations at community staging points — yellow shirts on, hands on boxes.
Neighbors showing up together
Dozens of volunteers — families, local businesses and civic partners — worked side by side under pop-up tents to sort and load supplies.
Cleanup capacity when rebuild starts
Through BINS Gives Back disaster response, we help route available dumpster and debris-removal capacity for recovery work in markets we serve.
Honest about what we are
BINS APP is a U.S. marketplace. We are not deploying crews inside Colombia. We support the community effort here, and coordinate disaster logistics where our independent providers operate.
Conditions are still changing. Based on public reports as of mid-August 2026. BINS APP connects customers with independent local providers.

Community impact
Relief is not a slogan. It is logistics, people and follow-through.
Whether it is a Saturday donation drive or a disaster-response request for dumpsters and debris removal, BINS APP exists to connect the work with people who can do it. If your organization needs cleanup support in a market we serve — or you want to partner on community relief — we want to hear from you.
Keep building
Book a service. Or put your fleet to work.
Every job on BINS APP supports independent local operators — the same community fabric that shows up when neighbors need help.
